Nardaran resident convicted after father and two brothers
Baku / 23.05.17 / Turan: On Tuesday Sabunchu court of Baku sentenced Faill Shahbazov, resident of Nardaran settlement. The court found him guilty of illegal possession of weapons (article 228.1 of the Criminal Code) and sentenced him to a year and 9 months of imprisonment. The lawyer of the defendant Namazli said that during the arrest Shahbazov was subjected to pressure and torture, and then gave a confession.
"The real cause of the pressure is Shakhbazov's active participation in the trial of 17 members of the Muslim Unity movement," said the lawyer and noted that the father and the two brothers Fail were also sentenced to two and a half years for illegal possession of weapons in the framework of the trial "Nardaran -1". Fail was accused of storing a rifle and a grenade F-1. -0-
