People who cut down trees are arrested
Baku / 27.07.17 / Turan: A lawsuit was brought against Vasif Salmanov and Sadig Akhmedov in Baku under the Article of the Criminal Code: 259.3 (cutting trees by prior agreement and causing major damage), and in respect of Vugar Shirinov, the case was initiated under Article 308.1 (abuse of official powers.) The court authorized their arrest, the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office reported.
The matter is that Karvan-K Production Commercial Union during the construction works in the Nizami district of the city has cut down 9 trees, the damage caused by it amounted to 7.920 manats.
Vugar Shirinov - the director of this company, conducted illegal construction and illegal cutting down of trees on the back of the yard of the House of Celebrations "Planets". The Ministry of Ecology sent materials to the Prosecutor General's Office in this connection, as a result of which all three were brought to criminal liability.
