While searching Rashad Alizade, the press "found a defector"
Baku / 07.02.19 / Turan: The reports of Armenian media about a defector from Azerbaijan named Rashad Alizade made a lot of noise.
The local site Moderator.az decided to search for this person"s data and suggested that it was the same Rashad Alizade who owed 400 thousand manat taxes and was banned from leaving the country in 2017.
However, the same Rashad Alizadeh turned to the Turan agency, and denied the information that he had asked for citizenship in Karabakh.
"I declare that I have nothing to do with the message about the appeal to the separatists.
I do not know who did it, and I should not be responsible for each Rashad Alizade.
Yes, I had problems with the tax authorities, but they were resolved. Therefore, I ask the press not to speculate with my name in such a sensitive issue!
For me, the interests of my state are above all, the integrity of the country is more valuable to me than the integrity of my family. Therefore, it is not necessary to mention my name in the context of this case."
Today's message of the Armenian side about a man named Rashad Alizade has not yet received a continuation. Details remain unclear.
The authorities of Azerbaijan also do not comment on this message. -02B-

The closure of Azerbaijan's land borders was discussed during the parliamentary session on November 25. While the government’s decision cites the coronavirus pandemic as the main reason—despite the World Health Organization declaring its end last year—Zahid Oruj, Chair of the Human Rights Committee in the Milli Majlis, pointed to other factors. He stated, "Opening the borders could result in an influx of hundreds of thousands of non-Azerbaijani refugees due to the Russia-Ukraine war. Additionally, in Iran, many are prepared to cross into Azerbaijan to safeguard their lives and assets amid military strikes. Such waves of refugees could lead to humanitarian, social, and cultural clashes that may threaten political stability."
