Ceyhun Bayramov discusses situation in region with Leo Docherty
Baku/29.09.23/Turan: A telephone conversation has been held between Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov and British Minister of State for Europe Leo Docherty.
The agenda of bilateral cooperation and the current situation in the region were discussed, the Foreign Ministry press service reported.
Bayramov informed the interlocutor in detail about the situation in the region after local anti-terrorist measures carried out by Azerbaijan in Karabakh.
He pointed out that the anti-terrorist measures contributed to the beginning of the process of reintegration of the Armenian residents of the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan into the Azerbaijani society. As a result of contacts between the representative of the Azerbaijani government and Karabakhi representatives, practical steps were taken to meet the needs of local residents.
Bayramov indicated the falsity of the allegations of alleged "ethnic cleansing" in the region.
Azerbaijan is committed to the Armenian-Azerbaijani normalisation and peace process, as well as efforts to reintegrate the Armenian residents of Karabakh within the framework of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan and international agreements to which Azerbaijan is a party.
During the telephone conversation the sides exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest as well. -06В-
