Announced winners of StartUp Azerbaijan 2014
Six projects have won the competition in 2014 StartUp Azerbaijan. According to the president of Azerbaijan Internet Forum Osman Gunduz at the conference on "State support, the private sector and private investors in the formation of StartUp environment," this year's competition includes 46, of which 28 projects were admitted to the competition. For the semifinals 15 projects were selected.
"As part of the semi-finals, the involved experts assessed the projects on 10 - point scale in 5 areas: the project team, the term, the idea of the project and attractiveness, profitability and coverage). As a result, in the finals there are 6 national projects - BethClip, Butarek, Iwork. az, WEARn, Al-Getir and Xercim.az," he noted.
For the projects, the finalists in the framework of this conference will also hold a closed meeting with 20 investors. In addition, the conference will discuss the prospects for the support and development of national startups, Internet business.
Following the discussions, proposals will be prepared and submitted to the relevant authorities, said Gunduz.
The competition StartUp Azerbaijan is held at the organization Azerbaijan Internet Forum and supported by the State Fund for ICT development at the Ministry of Communications and High-tech of AR. - 17D-

According to official statistics from Azerbaijan, bilateral trade in 2023 reached 3.1 billion US dollars.
