Cost of Electricity and Natural Gas Increased by 52.4%
For two months of this year, prices for electricity, natural gas and steam in Azerbaijan increased by an average of 52.4% compared to the comparable period of 2016, the State Statistics Committee reported.
From the beginning of the year, consumers were supplied with electricity, natural gas and steam at the expense of local production in actual prices for a total of 329.7 million manat, which is 3.3% more in comparable prices than in January-February 2016. In January-February 2016, this figure was 228.5 million manat, the SSC said. In other words, mainly due to the price factor, the production increased by 44.3%. ---08B
