Ganja Winery Increased Its Capital Fourfold
JSC Ganja Sharab-2 increased the authorized capital from 2,545,600 manat to 10,685,300 manat. The capital of the largest winery in the western region of Azerbaijan increased by increasing the nominal value of shares from 4 manat to 16 manat 79 gepiks.
Conversion of shares of Ganja Sarab-2 was incorporated in the State Committee for Securities on the 18th of November.
Ganja winery №2 was privatized in 1997-1998 as part of the First State privatization program. The company is controlled by three individuals.
According to the State Committee of Statistics, in 2013 the city of Ganja produced vodka - 264,700 deciliters (+ 6%), grape wine - 476,800 deciliters (+ 4.9%) and brandy – 3,000 deciliters (-39%).
In the western region of the country, there are several wineries. The largest of these is the Geygel winery owned by LLC Vinagro. The power of this company allows bottling 3,000 bottles of wine and brandy, and 6,000 bottles of vodka in an hour. However, according to statistics, in 2013, this plant produced 22,200 deciliters of vodka (-43.8%) and 150,600 deciliters of wine (+ 14.6%). The company that reported on the production of 174 thousand deciliters of vodka in 2009 "went into the shade," though the celebrations houses still prefer to serve Khan vodka made by the Geygel winery.
