Ministers of Defense, Transport and Foreign Affairs of Lithuania to visit Azerbaijan
October 8 the Lithuanian Defense Minister Juozas Olekas will visit Baku officially, the press service of the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan said.
During the visit, he will hold talks with his Azerbaijani counterpart Zakir Hasanov and visit a number of military installations.
During the three-day visit, issues of bilateral cooperation in the military sphere will be discussed.
In turn, sources in the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan reported on the upcoming visit of the Foreign Minister of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius to Azerbaijan on October 21.
During the visit, Linkevičius will visit Shamkir, which will host the fourth meeting of the Azerbaijani-Lithuanian intergovernmental commission. The sides will discuss issues of cooperation in trade, economic, humanitarian and other spheres.
The sides are expected to sign an agreement under which Shamkir and Shaulay will become sister cities.
October 15-16, the Minister of Transport of Lithuania Rimantas Sinkevičius is expected to arrive in Baku. The purpose of the visit is to discuss cooperation in the field of transport and communications. -02D-
