New Decree on Compensation for Martyr Families
Baku / 01.28.19 / Turan: On Monday, President Ilham Aliyev received a group of representatives of martyrs" families.
As one of the participants told Turan, a new presidential decree on lump-sum compensation to the families of martyrs for the death of their relatives during the hostilities was announced at the meeting.
In accordance with the decree, compensation of 11,000 manat will also be paid to those families that received benefits in the past, as well as to the families of policemen who died in the Karabakh war.
Recall that in the spring the head of state issued a decree on the payment of benefits in the amount of 11,000 manat to the families of martyrs.
However, representatives of about 100 families, starting from October, carried out weekly campaigns, demanding the payment of compensation, as they had not previously received it.
In the 1990s, some of the families of the killed soldiers received insignificant compensation. The families of the killed police officers did not receive the benefit either.
Official reports of the new presidential decree have not been published yet. -05D06-
