New Bas-relief Has No Mention of Merits of Mammad Emin Rasulzadeh
Baku / 1/25/19 / Turan: The Novkhany municipality again changed the bas-relief on the house where Mammad Emin Rasulzadeh, one of the founders of the Azerbaijan People's Republic (APR) was born.
Now on the memorial there is no information about the political merits of Rasulzadeh.
Recall that the bronze bas-relief 10 days ago was stolen by intruders, and sawed for scrap metal.
Last week, the authorities established a new bas-relief with errors.
In particular, on the bas-relief it was written: "The head of the Azerbaijan State Republic, the founder of the National Musavat party Mammad Emin Rasulzadeh was born in this house in 1884.
Thereby, the name of the first republic was distorted. After the media wrote about this, the municipal authorities decided to replace the bas-relief again.
This time, it is simply written on the board: "Mammad Emin Rasulzadeh was born in this house in 1884." There is no mention of the political merits of Rasulzadeh on the board.
The head of the municipality, Shahin Tagiyev, explained the matter it this way: "All the same, everyone knows about his merits, and once again there is no need to list them." -06D-
