Akram Aylisli Charged with Hooliganism
Today the writer Akram Aylisli was formally charged with hooliganism. The lawyer Elchin Sadygov told Turan today he accompanied the writer into the investigative section of the Police Department on Transport.
Aylisli was summoned as a suspect. He was charged under Article 221.1 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code and taken a subscription not to leave.
The writer denied the accusation and said it was related to his literary activities.
The lawyer also reported the contrived nature of the charges.
"How could a 78-year-old writer exert physical pressure on a young man?" said the lawyer.
On March 31 Aylisli was not allowed to depart from Baku for a literary festival in Venice. Within 15 hours he was held at the offices of law enforcement agencies at the airport. He was not explained the reasons for the travel ban and then the police launched an investigation on the alleged physical pressure by Aylisli on a border guard officer. -06d--

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.
