Conflict in Bilasuvar region, there are victims
Baku/04.05.20/Turan: In the morning on May 4, a large group of residents of Bilasuvar region gathered in front of the executive branch, demanding social benefits.
Hundreds of people came to demand a solution to their problems, one of the protesters told Turan.
“There are serious social problems in the area, unemployment, nothing to live for,” said the action participant, who did not want to give his name.
Dozens of people attempted to break into the executive building, but police prevented. According to unofficial data, there are victims.
Interior Ministry representative Ehsan Zakhidov told Turan that a group of citizens was trying to gather in front of the executive branch in Bilasuvar region.
“Police officers had an explanatory conversation with the citizens, after which the citizens left the territory. Only one citizen who resisted the police was detained. He injured a police officer. In this regard, an investigation is underway. None of the citizens were injured,” Zakhidov said.
At about 6 p.m., the Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed that one of the protesters was detained for resisting the police.-0-
