The Azerbaijan newspaper writes about yesterday"s march on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy with the participation of the Commander-in-chief. This procession proved once more, the author writes, that the people closely rallied near their President. The article recalls the facts of cruelty in the tragedy that occurred 27 years ago. The author notes that this is the third nationwide march led by the President - the first one took place in 2012, and the second was in 2017. Yesterday's march is regarded as a message to the international community to give a legal assessment of the Khojaly tragedy. Currently, 13 countries of the world, 22 states of the USA, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation recognize the Khojaly tragedy as genocide.
The website Azadliq.info writes that on the Day of the Khojaly tragedy, the opposition was not allowed to lay flowers at the memorial. The author notes that the authorities committed another shameful action. Moreover, the police used violence against the Musavatists, and this party"s member Mehman Kerimli was hospitalized as he had a heart attack.
Isa Gambar called the incident a disgrace and a shameful action of the authorities. Ali Kerimli stated that the authorities have monopolized even monuments.
The website Modern.az writes about problem loans and recalls that the President ordered to solve this issue at a meeting on February 25.
MP Ali Masimli recalls that the volume of problem loans is 1.6 billion manat. Every fourth resident of the country is a debtor of a bank, more than 1 million people suffer from a guarantee to banks, and the related lawsuits amount to hundreds of thousands. The MP stresses that the problem was created by the state, so it should also assist in solving it. In his opinion, loans should be divided into 4 parts between the state, the Central Bank, commercial banks and the population.
The newspaper Yeni Musavat writes about the rise in price of graves in Baku, as well as tombstones. The author refers to the price of such monuments, which cost from 1,000 to 3,000 manat, and if they are marble, then they cost 5,000 manat.
The article states that there are no such rates anywhere in the world. The State Committee for Work with Religious Communities has prepared proposals for services in cemeteries, but no law has been passed on this matter. -0-----
