Number of Fire Victims Increased
Baku / 10.12.18 / Turan: For nine months of this year, 62 people died in fires in Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
In total, 13,398 fires were recorded during this period. 1,757 fires occurred in multi-unit and individual houses, 9,168 in open areas, 9 in forests and glades, 251 in vehicles, and 2,213 in others.
62 people died in fires, which is 23 casualties or 59 percent more than in the same period last year. 127 people received injuries, which is 38 percent or 23 percent less than in the first 9 months of last year.
61 people were rescued, and 1,179 were evacuated from the fires. -06D--
