Pilgrim from Azerbaijan Dies on Hajj
Baku / 08/05/19 / Turan: 69 year old pilgrim from Azerbaijan, who arrived on the hajj in Mecca, died of a heart attack. Bahman Shukurov from the Agdam region will be buried in Saudi Arabia, as it should be according to the Hajj laws, Turan was told in the Caucasus Muslim Office (CMO).
Dying during Haji and being buried near Mecca is considered an honor for Muslims.
This year, Azerbaijan"s quota for pilgrimage to the hajj is 1,400. It has been completely replenished.
On August 5, the last flights with pilgrims will depart to SA. They will be back on August 21-25.
