Press Review - June 13, 2018

State support of entrepreneurs, a look at bureaucratic entrepreneurship, and the situation with the Bar are the leading topics of today's press.

The newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the state support of entrepreneurs. The author writes about the work done over 15 years to improve the business environment on the basis of President Ilham Aliyev's initiative in the form of a package of economic reforms and the development of the Made in Azerbaijan brand.

At present, foreign trade relations are established with 170 countries of the world. For four months of 2018 the export order of Azexport amounted to 222.5 million dollars. Thirteen export missions were created.

The Yeni Musavat newspaper writes about bureaucratic entrepreneurship. The MP Ali Masimli, arguing on this topic, notes that business prospects in the country remain vagueand inefficient due to monopoly, shadow economy, and prosperity of arbitrariness.

In international practice, the priority is the prosperity of small and medium-sized businesses. To develop entrepreneurship, it is necessary to reduce government interference.

The website Azadliq.info writes about the situation in the country's legal profession in the light of the deprivation of the powers of a number of lawyers, the last of which was Irada Javadova.

Attorney Yalchin Imanov, whose powers were terminated in November 2017, believes that Javadova has always adhered to lawyer ethics. If the Bar does not want to see such lawyers in its ranks, it means suicide of this structure.
