Public Activist Movlamly Claims Physical Pressure on Her by Police
Baku /13.10.19 / Turan: The public activist Fatima Movlamly declared physical pressure on her in the 29th branch of the Yasamal district police department.

On October 11, Movlamly arrived at the 29th branch of the Yasamal district police department to clarify the fate of Tofig Mammadov, a member of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA), who was detained for a single rally.
According to the girl, there she faced insult and assault. "They grabbed me by the throat and hair and pushed me into a cell," Movlamly notes. According to the girl, she also injured her hand, hitting the iron door of the cell.
Half an hour later, she was taken out of the cell and taken to the head of the department.
A police officer who locked Movlamly in the cell stated that she allegedly "bit" him.
In response, the activist offered to look at the recordings from CCTV cameras in the department. However, the head of the department said that "the cameras are not working."
The activist said that on Monday she will file a complaint about police actions to the Yasamal district prosecutor"s office.
It should be noted that Tofig Mammadov was arrested on October 11 for 10 days after participating in a solitary protest. -06D-
