The first reconnaissance satellite of Azerbaijan on the orbit
The French company Airbus Defense and Space brought the satellite of Azerkosmos into the Earth orbit on June 30. The Minister of Communications and High Technologies Ali Abbasov said this to the media.
The satellite SPOT-7 is intended for sensing the earth's surface. According to the minister, negotiations on the transfer of control of the satellite to Azerkosmos are underway.
According to Airbus Defense and Space, the satellite launch will allow obtaining real-time high-quality images from the surface of the Earth.
According to the head of Airbus Defense and Space on defense, space communications and security Evert Dudok, optical satellite services are extended by the capabilities of radar satellites TerraSAR-X and Tandem-X.
The reconnaissance satellite will be able to work not less than 10 years. -05D06-
