Center of `Juridical assistance to migrants` submitted the results of the project on illegal migration in Azerbaijan. According to the Head of this NGO Alovsat Aliyev, the project was realized with financial support of the OSCE, and was on the labor exploitation.
`There are conditions for such exploitation due to shortcomings in the legislation,` Aliyev said. He said that the labor foreigners is used in construction, in particular, in such companies as `Serbas` (more than 200 people), `Pashainshaat` ( more than 1,500 people), `Accord` (approximately 2,000.)
Among labor migrants in `Pashainshaat` only 56 people have permission to work. Such great number of labor migrants means not-paying of debts and infringes their rights. Lately the company has started eviction of these people from the country (almost 900 people.)
The lawyer of the center Gunel Guliyeva told that in 2010 approximately 875 people appealed to the Center; 1,012 appealed to the Center on the phone. Eight of them were interested what documents are required for the return to their country.
According to her, 17 people complained of sexual exploitation in Turkey.
Twenty two cases on the facts labor exploitation are in courts currently.
