Twenty People Suffered Sunstroke on Sunday
Baku / 02.07.18 / Turan: On the hottest day of this summer, July 1, 20 people were diagnosed with sunstroke by the doctors, the head doctor of the Emergency Service of Baku, Rauf Nagiyev, told Turan.
This is about 45% of the 49 people affected by the solar and thermal shock for the entire summer period, including four children. This is only the number of those who turned to doctors, so the number of those affected by the heat is much higher.
Yesterday's heat had a strong "influence" on the cars of citizens who literally rushed to the sea, hoping to escape from the heat. However, due to the high temperature, dozens of vehicles could not stand the 40 degree temperature and the engines boiled. Therefore, along the highways from the city to the sea and back you could see numerous tow trucks that transported the "injured".
A large number of cars flooded all the beaches of the peninsula, parking everywhere, where possible and impossible, creating traffic jams, even on a ring highway.
Special discontent and indignation of people were caused by the view of the wild beaches in Bilgah and Nardaran, where dozens of hectares of the beach were captured by state officials and oligarchs. -03 / 01B-

Baku, often called the "Caucasian Dubai," is increasingly known for systematic violations of residents' housing rights. During urban renovations and the construction of elegant new buildings, thousands of families in Azerbaijan’s capital have been unlawfully deprived of their homes. Many, recognizing the futility of resistance, settle for inadequate monetary compensation for their irreplaceable property. A minority, placing faith in the Housing Code, demand fair compensation from construction companies but often lose everything—both their homes and any form of recompense.
