Zafar Ahmedli�s Detention Place Known (Updated)
Baku / 07/30/18 / Turan: Despite the fact that the activist of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA) Zafar Ahmedli arrested on administrative procedure was placed in the Binagadi district"s center to keep people brought to administrative responsibility on July 28, this was reported to his family only today.
Turan has been told in PFPA they are expecting a meeting with relatives of Z. Ahmedli.
Z. Ahmedli was arrested on July 37 for 30 days on administrative charges for not subordinating the police. The party believes he is being prosecuted on a far-fetched charge because of his critical publications in social networks on the Internet.
Z. Ahmedli is the father of Fuad Ahmadli, an activist of PFPA, who was sentenced to 4 years of imprisonment and recognized as a political prisoner by human rights activists. -0--

Baku /28.07.18/ Turan: Family members arrested on the eve of PFPA activist Zafar Akhmedov are concerned for his fate. They are not provided with information about the place of its maintenance.In the Khatai district police department, family members were told on Saturday morning that Ahmedov was being held in this department.However, when they brought him food there, they were told that Ahmedovwas not there.In the Binagadi detention center, the persons arrested under the administrative order also stated that Ahmedovwas not there. Turam failed to get comments in the press-service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.Zafar Ahmedov is the father of political prisoner FuadAhmedli. The father of the political prisoner FuadAhmedli is arrested
Baku / 27.07.18 / Turan: Zafar Ahmedov, father of the activist of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA), recognized by human rights activists as a political prisoners, was arrested on July 27 for 30 days in administrative order.Zafar Ahmedov himself is also a member of PFPA and sharply criticizes the authorities of Azerbaijan in social networks.He was detained on July 27 at about 3:00 pm and brought to the Khatai District Court, which arrested him in the administrative order to 30 days for not subordinating the police.PFPA is convinced that Z. Akhmedov, as well as his son, are persecuted for political reasons.
* FuadAhmedli was arrested on August 17, 2018, on a contrived charge of "violating the provisions of the law on operational search activities," in particular, the dissemination of personal data of Azerfon mobile communications users.In addition, he was accused of abuse of office. On June 16,2017 Ahmedli, was sentenced to 4 years imprisonment. On August 17, the appellate court upheld the verdict. Ahmedli is recognized as a political prisoner.-03B06-
