About the dried up trees and inoperability of the Ministry of Ecology
Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan
Mr. Mukhtar Babaev
More than 10 days ago, on October 23, in my letter to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources I asked for permission to cut down dried trees in the courtyard of nine-story buildings at 2 Buzovna, Subhi.
In a letter, I noted that trees pose a threat to people's lives. Photographs of dried trees were attached to the letter. The letter was received at the ministry on the same day. In parallel, I called the “168” hotline and informed me of the need to cut trees. However, no action was taken by the Ministry of Ecology. On November 2 in bad weather, a strong gusty wind knocked one of the trees under the root. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
Without waiting for another such incident, I ask you to give an order to cut down dried trees. I will not send another printed letter, which may be lost in the offices as before. A public appeal, as I understand it, is important for you, for me, for society, and of course, for the state.
Respectfully,
Mehman Aliyev, director of Turan news agency

I welcome respected media representatives, professional and honest journalists from places of detention. July 22 is an important day for journalists, mass media and teachers of Azerbaijan. 149 years ago, Hassan Bey Zardabi, the great educator, the most valuable thinker, the founder of our journalism, lit the first light for society to come out of darkness, giving humanity the newspaper “AKINCI.”

The past day has not clarified the question of why the meeting between Aliyev and Pashinyan in London on July18 broke down. The announcement of the upcoming meeting was made a week ago from Armenian sources, and Baku was silent about the upcoming meeting.

I stand firmly in support of President Ilham Aliyev's vision for Azerbaijan's future.
