What will be the fate of Javanshir Feyziev and Ramiz Mehdiyev?
Baku/08.02.22/Turan: Member of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) Javanshir Feyziyev, whose large bank accounts of family members were arrested in London, insulted media representatives. An appeal has already been received to revoke his deputy mandate.
Today, according to local media reports, the resignation of ANAS President Ramiz Mehdiyev is expected. It should be noted that in recent days, employees of ANAS, as well as many deputies, have spoken out in the media against Ramiz Mehdiyev.
What's happening? Is the government also interested in the resignation of these people?
The chairman of the Umid Party, Igbal Agazadeh, answered these and other questions in the "Difficult Question" program.
According to him, what people at the top think about Feyziyev is unknown. However, the fact that information sources close to the authorities report the possible deprivation of the mandate of the scandalous deputy suggests that the leaders would like to get rid of such "ballast". If pro-government information portals, websites, newspapers are actively involved in the campaign against Feyziyev, then it must be assumed that the “go-ahead” has been given, the politician said, adding that “it is difficult to say how far this process will go.”
Agazade noted that the General Prosecutor's Office has not launched an investigation into Feyziev's case, although when it comes to such facts, it is simply obliged to do so.
“This happens because decisions in the country are made on the basis of a political order. If there is no direct order from above, then law enforcement agencies do not take prompt and legal steps. This is the reason for all the processes taking place in the country,” Agazade believes.
“I do not support participation in campaigns against specific individuals. This is not the first and not the last such process in Azerbaijan. In order to put an end to such negative phenomena, issues should be resolved conceptually, the system should be changed,” he concluded. –0-
