Azerbaijan promises UNESCO $5 million
At the end of last week, UNESCO Director-General, Irina Bokova, and Azerbaijan’s Minister of Culture and Tourism, Abulfaz Garayev, signed an agreement on cooperation.
According to the press service of UNESCO, the signing ceremony was held at the headquarters of the organization in Paris.
The agreement is aimed at strengthening cooperation in all areas relevant to the conduct of UNESCO. Under the agreements, Azerbaijan has promised to provide five million U.S. dollars for UNESCO.
