First time this year the demand for notes was below CBA proposal
BAKU/30.01.14/TURAN : Short-term notes of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan ( CBA) series 50100442S totaling 7 million manat were placed on the auction , held January 29, 2013 .
The announced offer was 30 million manat; for auction were exhibited notes for AZN 8 million , and the total demand for them by the two investors amounted to only 7 million at face value . Orders were presented in price range from 99.9173 % (YTM 1.06 %) to 99.9171 % (1.07 %).
Price cut for competitive bids in the CBA was at 99.9171 % (1.07 %) and the weighted average was 99.9172 % (1.07 %).
Repayment of the notes will be held on February 26, 2014 .
Central Bank of Azerbaijan in 2014 emits notes totaling 2 billion manat. Through four auctions they placed notes of 25 million manat. At the last auction notes of CBA went as low as 1.07 % APR . -15D -

The Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) announced the commissioning of its newly built vessel, "Bergyushadchay", on November 28. At today’s session of the Milli Majlis, Azerbaijan’s parliamentarians discussed and approved in the first reading a draft law increasing the minimum subsistence level for 2025. The updated figures reflect a modest rise of 10 manats, setting the nationwide living wage at 285 manats. For specific demographics, the levels are 305 manats for the working population, 232 manats for pensioners, and 246 manats for children. The same session also approved the criterion of need at 285 manats for the coming year, aligning it with the national living wage.
