Imports of passenger cars increases by 38%
In 2012, 89,652 cars were imported in Azerbaijan. This is by 38% more than the year before, told Turan in the State Customs Committee (SCC.)
The total cost of the cars imported to the country was estimated at customs in $760 million, by 17.6% less than in 2011. In 2011, the declared value of a car was $7154, but in the past it was $ 8478.
The volume of cars imported to the country in 2012 totaled 101,255 cars ($ 1 119.5 million.) Of them 1038 ($ 49.8 million) were buses, special vehicles - 1132 ($ 96.2 million), and trucks - 9433 ($ 213.3 million). Compared with 2011 delivery of buses and trucks increased by 58.4% and 52.7%.
In 2011 the number of cars imported to Azerbaijan totaled 64 920, in 2010 year - f 51,816 cars ( by 18.3% less than in 2009.)
According to the State Statistics Committee, in 2012 618 (4.6%) tractors were collected in Azerbaijan, cars - 542 (-2.5%), trucks - 161 (- 77.9%).--08D--
