Individuals in the role of locomotive of new jobs
Statements of President Ilham Aliyev about the opening in the first half of this year 55 thousand new working places, of which 45 million are permanent jobs, do not fit with the same statistics on the number of employees during the period of 2012 to May of 2013. During this period, jobs in factories where workers are engaged on contracts, fell by 700 people.
According to data released by the State Statistics Committee, for the first of June this year, 1,480 people were employed in the economy of Azerbaijan. It is by 700 people less than in average in 2012.
At the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on July 18, President Ilham Aliyev stated that during his being in office, 1,180 new working places were opened in the country. According to the statistics, over this 253.400 employed persons, got jobs. Perhaps the remaining 926.600 people are individuals engaged in business activities without creating a legal entity, temporary and seasonal employees. According to the Ministry of Taxes, Azerbaijan registered 448,000 persons engaged in entrepreneurial activities without creating a legal entity. Even these official figures show that the data about opening of working places over the past 10 years have been exaggerated. 08D
