Work on the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project will be accelerated
In Istanbul, a meeting of the Ministers of Transport of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia was held. Ziya Mammadov, Binali Yildirim and George Kvirikashvili discussed the construction of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway. After the meeting, a protocol was signed to speed up the construction, Turkish media reported.
At the end of the signing ceremony, the Minister of Transport Ziya Mammadov said that by the end of this year, all the work will be completed.
The Turkish Minister Binali Yildirim said that before the end of 2013, there will be a monitoring visit to Baku-Tbilisi-Kars.
The Georgian Minister George Kvirikashvili stressed that the project will strengthen the connection between the three countries and noted the funding of this project by Azerbaijan. -02D-
