Authorities Identify Places for Meetings
Baku/11.09.13/Turan : On September 11, official newspaper "Azerbaijan", released a list of public and private venues for public meetings in districts and cities. In Sabail district meetings are allowed in the a driving school yard of the 20th section in the village.
In Narimanov district it is in the square in front of “Ulduz” metro station.
In Khatai district- behind Zikh highway, at block 29/22 ,
In the Nizami district- in the 2386 of the eight kilometer,
In the Nasimi district- a park in the First micro district, Asifa Magerramova St., 27 A.
And in Yasamal- the sports complex next to the metro station "Inshaatchilar ."

Bashir Suleymanli the Executive Director of the Election Monitoring and Democratic Studies Center (EMDSC) called the selection of sites for meetings, a violation of freedom of assembly. According to him, citizens can exercise their freedom of assembly in any place.
In addition, certain areas are located away from central Baku. According to Suleymanli, presidential candidates may appeal the decision by the authorities in court.—16D-
