Struggle of 37,175 candidates for 15035 seats in the municipalities
Campaigning for municipal elections on December 23 began on November 30. Agitation will complete at 08:00 am on December 22 - the day before the start of voting.
According to the Head of Public Relations Department of the CEC , Shahin Asadli, for December 1, the struggle for 15035 seats will be in 1607 municipalities will be carried out by 37,175 candidates. Among them are candidates from eight political parties: "Yeni Azerbaijan", "Ana Vatan", "Civil Solidarity", "Umid", Social Democratic, National Revival Movement, Democratic Reforms, and the "Great Creation." There are 30 political parties among candidates, including self-promoted members.
According to the Electoral Code, the right to free campaigning on public television and radio will have political parties having registered candidates in more than 60 constituencies, or half of the total number of municipalities.
According to Asadli, the only such a party this year was ruling "Yeni Azerbaijan". Taking into account the lack of opportunities for members of other political parties, "Yeni Azerbaijan" refused to free air. -06B-
