Visit of Foreign Minister of Palestine
The Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan on October 15-16. He will hold talks with the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister and other officials, the press service of the Foreign Ministry said.
Note that official Baku supports the creation of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
At the same time, the Azerbaijani government maintains close relations with Israel.
Last year, for the first time after the restoration of independence of Azerbaijan, the head of the Foreign Ministry made an official visit to Israel. -16D-
