The successes of President Ilham Aliyev, distrust of Azerigaz, the 30-year-old suffering of a village living without sewers are topics of today's media.
The newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the success of Iham Aliyev as President of the country. The author of the article claims that the comprehensive rapid development of Azerbaijan since 2003 is connected with the name of President Ilham Aliyev.
These successes include fundamental changes that have occurred in all areas of society and the state over the past 16 years.
The author focuses on the social package signed by the head of state over the past 6 months. The article talks about his trips to the regions, about his many meetings with people, and about the ability to listen and understand them.
The article also presents the results of a survey according to which 80.1% of respondents are satisfied with the socio-political and socio-economic stability in the country. 90.5% of respondents are positive about the ongoing course of reforms.
The website Yeni Musavat writes about the situation with gas supply to the population. Recently, interruptions in the supply of "blue fuel" have become more frequent in individual villages. Azerigaz explains this with repair work, which for some reason lasts 9-10 hours. Experts attribute this to an attempt to write off existing gas losses.
The author suggests allowing journalists to go to places where repairs are being carried out in order to put an end to these suspicions.
The website Bakupost writes about the village of Yeni Yashma in the Khyzy district, in which sewage has not been carried out. For 30 years, the village has been suffering from wastewater and unsanitary conditions. Despite the numerous appeals of residents to the relevant authorities and protests in front of the executive branch, there are no results. The executive, instead of solving the problem, puts pressure on those who raise it. -0-----

The closure of Azerbaijan's land borders was discussed during the parliamentary session on November 25. While the government’s decision cites the coronavirus pandemic as the main reason—despite the World Health Organization declaring its end last year—Zahid Oruj, Chair of the Human Rights Committee in the Milli Majlis, pointed to other factors. He stated, "Opening the borders could result in an influx of hundreds of thousands of non-Azerbaijani refugees due to the Russia-Ukraine war. Additionally, in Iran, many are prepared to cross into Azerbaijan to safeguard their lives and assets amid military strikes. Such waves of refugees could lead to humanitarian, social, and cultural clashes that may threaten political stability."
