Neolithic settlement found in the district of Agdam

Archaeological expedition of the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the National Academy, which conducts excavations in the village of Khindiristan  in Agdam region, discovered the unique structure, the remains of housing, age of about 8000 years.

According to the report of the National Academy site, excavations were carried out in an area of ​​400 square meters. During the works were found household items and remnants of stone walls of housing.

Expedition leader Khagani Almamedov dated  the discovered artifacts as  the  sixth millennium BC and considers them unique. -02D-
