Searching and Firefighting Continues in Caspian Sea
Since the discovery of 6 dead bodies of oilmen in the Caspian Sea the rescue work in the area of the burning platform has been to no avail.
The search for 23 oil workers missing from the platform Gunashli and three workers from the Oil Rocks continues, the Chief Engineer of Azneft Rescue Headquarters Balamirza Agamirzoyev told a briefing on December 8. According to him, six helicopters and five ships are involved.
The fire fighting also continues. There are 7 ships, and another one will join them today. Fire equipment has been already installed on the platform itself, allowing firefighters to quickly suppress the fire and begin to block the flowing well. -16D-
