Authorities Buying Out 2,180 Real Estate Units in Former Soviet Street
Baku / 20.02.18 / Turan: The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a decree, according to which the state bodies will determine the land required for state needs and buy it. The document is timed to the demolition of the old housing in the Yasamal district of the capital, where extensive work has been done for more than 20 years.
This time, 1,300 objects are subject to demolition in the streets named after N. Ashurbekova, S. Tagizadeh, A. Shaig and C. Mustafayev, and 880 objects along N. Narimanov Avenue (former Soviet), between the streets of I. Gutkashenli, B. Safaroglu and Mirzaaga Aliyev.
Thus, 2,010 residential and non-residential facilities will be purchased by the Executive Power of the Yasamal district for the purpose of infrastructure construction.
The executive power of the Yasamal district was instructed to conduct preparatory work for the purchase of land and submit proposals to the Cabinet of Ministers.
As for the reasons for the demolition, according to the general plan of the city, park areas, car parks, new residential houses and sports complexes will be built. In addition, new highways will be built there.
It should be noted that until now the authorities paid the owners 1,500 manat per square meter of housing. But the cost of the land was not taken into account. Many owners of housing and facilities did not agree with this price and sued the authorities. However, the truth was achieved only in the European Court of Human Rights. -02D-
