Baku / 22.11.19 / Turan: Former prosecutor and political prisoner Rufat Safarov was arrested for 30 days during a rally on October 19 and was subjected to pressure and threats in the detention center. He said this in an interview with the Çətin Sual (Difficult Question) program of Turan agency.
According to him, being one of the organizers and agitators of the rally on October 19, he participated in the rally until the end and was detained shortly before its completion. Three police officers, leading him to the bus, used physical force and hit him on the head.
In the administrative detention center for him for several days they did not allow me to call home, which was moral torture.
Then an employee of the Main Police Department of Baku came to him and demanded to testify against the National Council, the Popular Front Party, saying that Ali Karimli was connected with the radical circles of Iran. Otherwise, Safarov was threatened with a criminal case. However, Safarov did not succumb to pressure. –03D06-
