Azerbaijan Ranks 57th Place in the Ranking of Germany"s Foreign Trade Partners
The Federal Statistics Service (FSS) of Germany promulgated on November 13 a report on the trade relations of the country in 2013, according to which the country has a negative balance of import and export of goods with Azerbaijan in the amount of 1 billion 626 5 million euro.
In the ranking in terms of trade with Germany, Azerbaijan occupies the 57th place with 3 billion 276.5 million euro. At the same time, Azerbaijan imported goods made in Germany for 825 million Euro (72nd place).
Azerbaijan is among the 70 countries, with which Germany has a negative trade balance. Most of these are raw material exporters.
The data of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan are somewhat different. According to it, in 2013, the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to about $ 2 billion 180 million. Of these, $ 823 million was the sum of imports from Germany. The nomenclature of goods imported from Germany has more than 1,800 names, while Azerbaijan exports only raw materials (oil and oil products), as well as nuts, etc.
During the 10 months of this year the volume of imports from Germany amounted to $ 551.5 million, a decrease of 14.7%. Azerbaijan exported Germany goods worth $ 1.7 billion (+73.8%), reported the SCC of Azerbaijan on November 14.
In 2013, the official exchange rate of the euro against the US dollar fluctuated between 1.27 and 1.39. --08B-

According to official statistics from Azerbaijan, bilateral trade in 2023 reached 3.1 billion US dollars. In just the first ten months of 2024, trade volume increased by 17.1% year-on-year, reaching 3.02 billion US dollars, putting the annual trade figure on track to hit a record high.
