Decline in oil production in Azerbaijan hit foreign trade

In 2012, the foreign trade turnover with 155 countries comprised $ 33.5 billion, which was 7.6% less than the previous year. The decline in foreign trade was due to the decrease in exports of crude oil. The positive trade balance was $ 14.3 billion.

According to the State Customs Committee, last year, Azerbaijan exported goods totaling $ 23.9 billion. Roughly half of the goods were exported to EU countries ($ 1,199 million). State shares in the portfolio were 94% of the exports.

For the period indicated, the country was supplied goods totaling $ 9 652.8 million which is 1% less than in 2011. Imports from EU countries amounted to $ 2,670 million at the state's share accounted for 21.2% of imports. - 08D-
