Members of the National Council, Sulhaddin Akbar and Eldar Namazov, held a meeting on Thursday at the U.S. Embassy with the Charge d'Affaires of the U.S., Berek Hogan.
According to Sulhaddin Akbar, the conversation was related to the appointment of location for the opposition protests on August 18. The diplomat was informed that the government violated the freedom of assembly and expression.
Any action in the center of the city is banned and the opposition is always sent to the outskirts of the city. However, the opposition will not give up the campaign in remote areas.
According to Akbar, American diplomats intend to monitor the upcoming rally. -05B-
