Rustam Ibragimbekov is again detained at Baku airport
Co-founder of the Forum of Azerbaijani Intellectuals, well-known screenwriter, Rustam Ibragimbekov, was today again detained at Baku airport. He was to go on tour to Russia, France and USA. When passing the VİP room, where pre-order was made, he took his luggage and was given a boarding card, but then the road was blocked by the border service.
Border guards notified the playwright that there was an order from the "top" not to let him through VİP, and he is to go in a general manner.
The playwright hurried to the general passenger room, but even there the border was closed to him, but this time, due to technical reasons. As soon as the chairman of the Forum came to the border point, there began a problem with the computer network.
Half an hour before landing at Moscow flight at 16:10, after a signal "from the top," computers "identified" the Oscar winner, and he promising to solve the computer problem of border guards, walked into the plane, Turan was told by the eye witness, a representative of the Forum of Intellectuals, Eldar Namazov.
The same happened on the eve of the New Year, but then computers and guards for two hours could not identify Ibragimbekova coming to Azerbaijan.
