First successful operation on transplantation artificial heart to the patient, "HeartMate 2" took place in the Central Clinical Hospital of Baku, said the head physician of this clinic, surgeon Kamran Musayev. Forty-four-year-old resident of Balakan region of the country, Ibrahim Mansurov, was operated. For a long time he suffered from dilated cardiomyopathy. The patient's health is satisfactory, and the other day he will be discharged home. The operation was conducted by local doctors. Patient himself told reporters that he felt well, and thanked the doctors for treatment.
