Number of Marriages and Newborns Decreasing, Number of Divorces and Deaths Increasing...
Baku / 26.11.18 / Turan: In January-September 2018, the number of newborns in Azerbaijan decreased, but the number of deaths increased. The number of marriages also decreased, and the number of divorces increased.
According to the State Statistics Committee, in January-September, 45,977 marriages were registered. Last year, the figure was 47,388. The number of divorces increased significantly. In January-September 2018, 11,102 divorces were registered. For the same period last year, their number was 10,977.
As for the statistics of newborns, 103,371 babies were registered in the district offices of the Ministry of Justice over the period indicated. For the same period of 2017, this indicator was 107,459 babies.
According to the State Statistics Committee, in the first 9 months of 2018, the number of deaths in Azerbaijan increased and was 43,640 people. Last year, 43,089 people died during the same period. -0-
