Baku / 17.01.19 / Turan: Pressure is put on the political prisoners Ilkin Rustamzade, Elchin Ismayilli, Ahsan Nuruzade and Bayram Mammadov in jail N13 , so that they stopped the hunger strike, said the coordinator of the Center for the Protection of Political Prisoners, Oktay Gyulalyev, with reference to the relatives of the prisoners.
"Activists are threatened that new criminal charge will be launched against them, as well as against Mehman Huseynov, or they will be sent to the tuberculosis zone if they do not stop the hunger strike. The pressure continues despite visits by representatives of the Red Cross," said the human rights activist.
These individuals have been on a solidarity hunger strike since January 13, demanding the release of blogger Mehman Huseynov and other political prisoners. -06D-
