A soldier of one of the units of the Defense Ministry, Elvin Bazirli was fatally shot with a machine gun. The incident occurred due to careless handling of weapons. The soldier died on the way to the hospital, the press service of the Defense Ministry said, without specifying exactly where the incident occurred.
In addition, the Ministry of Defense soldier Samir Alekperov committed suicide in one of the units deployed in Nakhchivan.
On both the facts an investigation began.
In the current year in the army, 17 people died and 25 were injured for various reasons. Of these , only 5 losses were in the combat. -16D-
