Deposit portfolio of banks increased by 1 percent in October
BAKU/19.12.13/TURAN : The volume of deposits and deposits with credit institutions of Azerbaijan increased in October 2013 by 112.9 million or 1 % to 12,042.3 million manat. Over the past 12 months , two of which there was a decline , the figure rose by 1,839.9 million or 18%.
In the reporting month grew both manat and foreign currency investments . The volume of funds amounted to 6,130.1 mln manat. And its share in the total deposit portfolio of banks decreased in October to 50.9 %. A year earlier, the proportion of resources manat stood at 45.3%.
By the beginning of November individuals stored in banks deposits and deposits amounting to 6,303.4 million manat, which corresponds to 52.3% of the total ( 52.3% a month earlier ) . Short-term investments of individuals in the reporting month increased by 7.5 million or 0.2% to 3,621 million manat. Long-term savings by individuals increased by 58.5 million or 2.2% to 2,682.4 million manat.
Time deposits increased in the reported month to 8,215 million or 68.2 % (+ 0.2 % in October ) of the total. The total volume of demand deposits decreased to 3,827.2 million manat.
According to the Azerbaijani Central Bank , the average rate on manat deposits and deposits in October fell by 0.02 percentage points to 9.43 % on savings in foreign currency - by 0.14 percentage points to 9.90 %. In the reported month , manat deposits accepted from individuals an average of 9.83 % per annum , currency - by 10.35 %. For legal entities , the figures were 5.74 % and 3.71 % respectively. - 15B -
