SSC Found Illegal Employment
The State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan has published the results of selected statistical study on the economic activity of the population, according to which it found about 230 thousand illegally employed people.
According to statistical reports, the number of employees in the economy on 1 July this year was 1,391.5 thousand. In other words, either a part of the working population hides its activities from the tax authorities and the state department to determine targeted social assistance or private companies do not make out labor contracts with the employees. This is evidenced, for example, by the report of the Ministry of Taxes on the results of measures for operational control. Only in August they found 289 people illegally employed by 171 employers.
Note that from the beginning of this year, the official number of employees has grown by about 10 thousand people.
In July, the public sector employed 850 thousand people, and the private sector employed 541.5 thousand. - 08D -
