Twelve Million AZN to Provide Consumers with Water Meters
In order to provide the people with water measuring devices, President Ilham Aliyev has ordered to allocate 12 million manats. The funds have been allocated to JSC Azersu from the Reserve Fund of the President in the state budget for 2016.
According to JSC Azersu, by 1 January 2016 from the 1 million 308.5 thousand subscribers of the population water meters were provided to 792,260 subscribers (60.5%). Under the law, people are exempted from paying for the installation of water meters by the monopoly suppliers of the utilities.
It is noteworthy that even in the category of organizations and businesses (total 55,700 subscribers) the level of installation of meters is 79.7% (44,400). ----08D

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
