KEEPING SILENT IS CRIMINAL DEED TODAY!
Baku must take a number of urgent steps at diplomatic and political levels due to Russias military aggression against Georgia. First of all the Foreign Ministry must make a statement assessing Russias actions, because it is aggression against the country which is trying to restore its territorial integrity and to bring order to its territory. The open intervention made by Russia is accompanied with all kinds of weapons and troops. The excessive use of force testifies that the Kremlin has prepared for this operation for long, and this intervention is to threaten and punish. In January 1990 Azerbaijan was in the same situation, but then we were part of the USSR; now we are a sovereign state, therefore the military crimes of Moscow are heavier than the occupation in January 1990.
However, the official Baku has not even expressed condolences to Georgia! It had to sent, at least, humanitarian assistance to the neighbors and to give principal assessment to the Kremlins actions.
It is stupid and dishonest to keep silence in such a situation, and to hope that Azerbaijan will be able to escape the same fate. Politics is a pragmatic business, but it is not good not to notice that a strategic partner is subjected to aggression.
Azerbaijans fate directly depends on the situation in Georgia, through the
territory of which oil and gas pipelines go. It is absolutely clear that Moscow wants to achieve the resignation of the legally elected President and to appoint their marionette to control the South Caucasian region. Then it will be possible to put an end to any talks about independent energy policy, strategic partnership with the West and many others. Realization of Russias goals will certainly restore the former USSR, and will make all the neighbors afraid of Russia.
Today Azerbaijan does not support Georgia, but Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia and other countries do. These countries, which are far from the Caucasus, are not afraid to express their position and their Presidents arrived in Tbilisi to support Georgia. At the press conference in Moscow on Thursday Russias Foreign Minister said the territorial integrity of Georgia must be forgotten. Maybe somebody hopes to survive and keep Karabakh only because he is silent at this moment, but it is evident that one of the next operations of urging to peace will strike Azerbaijan.

Ukraine, more than anyone else in this world, strives for peace, as we bear the daily brutality of this Russian-Ukrainian war. We are at the forefront of the struggle for the right to life, freedom, and justice. Ukraine seeks a just peace that will lay a solid foundation for a stable future for Europe and the World, and the only way of achieving this is to implement President Volodymyr Zelensky's Peace Formula (the Ukrainian Peace Formula).

On the eve of a large-scale flood approaching Baku, a disturbing incident occurred in the village of Buzovna, where a Lada Priora car fell into the ground, literally collapsing the road beneath it. The driver miraculously remained unharmed but vowed to seek justice, promising to file an official complaint with the prosecutor’s office against Azersu OJSC, the state-owned water supply and sewerage company, often associated with deeply rooted corruption.

In a bit of historic irony, powerful oligarch Bidzina Ivanishvili has managed to inspire rare unity across Georgia’s cacophonous political scene twice in his life. His money and influence forged the broad-based consolidation of opposition forces that brought him to power in 2012, and now, 12 years and three electoral cycles later, a similar pattern of opposition convergence could send him packing.

Russian authorities and pro-Kremlin influencers have been spreading false information about alleged Reporters Without Borders (RSF) research into Nazi tendencies within the Ukrainian military, which was featured in a viral video falsely attributed to the BBC. RSF exposes the inner workings of a disinformation campaign designed to justify President Vladimir Putin's war narrative.
