Customs Office register building glass at a price higher by two times
In the first quarter of 2015 construction glass, totaling $ 12.3 million were imported to Azerbaijan. The analysis of data on the volume of imports shows that there is a need in supply, while Customs Office indicated higher process compared with the last year.
According to the State Customs Committee, for the entire 2014 a building glass was purchased abroad in the amount of $ 15.6 million.
Last year the laminated insulating was registered at the Azerbaijani customs at an average price of $49.2/m2, and this year - the price $116.1/m2 is indicted. The share of Turkey in the first quarter of 2015 accounted for about one-third ($ 4.4 million) import of glass.
Glass production in Azerbaijan is absent. Last year, the status of a resident of Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park, Ltd. received "AzerFloat", which plans to produce based on the technology "HORN Glass Industries AG" (Germany) 8 million meters of glass per year.-- 08B-
