Preference to satellite antennas
Cable TV is used by 21.8% of the population of Azerbaijan (4% per year).
As stated in the statistical overview on the Information Society in 2013 on the site of the State Statistics Committee, 38.7% of the population uses the services of cable operators, concentrated in Baku and other major cities. So, in Baku, 59.1% of the population uses the services of cable TV (+6.1% per year).
The greatest number of connections has been fixed on the Absheron Peninsula - 52.5%, Ganja-Gazakh economic region - 42.7%, Sheki-Zagatala - 11.5% and in the Aran economic zone - 13.3%.
In 2013, 35.9% of the population (7.8%) had access to the content via satellite aerials, and 36% (minus 9.3%) - using conventional television antennas. - 17D-

While the global economy faces persistent challenges, trade between China and Azerbaijan has defied downward trends, demonstrating significant growth. According to official statistics from Azerbaijan, bilateral trade in 2023 reached 3.1 billion US dollars. In just the first ten months of 2024, trade volume increased by 17.1% year-on-year, reaching 3.02 billion US dollars, putting the annual trade figure on track to hit a record high.
